Full page ad appears in USA Today on Christmas Eve

Resurrecting Lives was featured in a full page ad in USA Today for their holiday edition (Christmas Eve & Day). The ad was featured on the back of the Sports section, page C10. Thanks to all those who helped make this possible. The ad was a donation to the Foundation to help raise awareness. It features the caption: “Resurrect a Hero”. VA Press release: VA to Expand Benefits for Traumatic Brain Injury

va-header-logoVeterans with traumatic brain injury (TBI) who are diagnosed with any of five other ailments will have an easier path to receive additional disability pay under new regulations developed by the Department of Veterans Affairs. This regulation stems from a report of the National Academy of Sciences, Institute of Medicine (IOM) regarding the association between TBI and the five diagnosable illnesses. Dr. Gordon quoted in press release about Telehealth Initiative in the Military Health System

A recent press release by Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) quotes Dr. Gordon and the importance of telemedicine as “a huge step toward rehabilitation and reintegration of the nation’s 450,000 Veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan who suffer from TBI”. The initiative was introduced as part of the bipartisan amendment (S.A. 2114) from Senator Portman and Senator Mazie Hirono (D-HI). You can the full article at Telemedicine Initiative.
